At GROW Foundation, we recognize that marginalized, immigrant, and low-income women face unique challenges in their communities. Our organization is dedicated to supporting these women so that they can advance and grow within their communities, ultimately leading to increased employability, improved life skills, and an equal opportunity within Canadian society.
Our mandate
To work with marginalized, immigrant, and low-income women to improve their leadership, employability and life skills. We support them so they advance and grow within their communities, get out of poverty and have an equal opportunity within Canadian society.
Our SEED pillars are the foundation of our organization, and we believe that they provide a roadmap to success for marginalized women. Here is a closer look at each of these pillars:
In addition to our SEED pillars, we also work to improve the lives of marginalized women through a variety of programs and project initiatives. These include affordable housing development, leadership development workshops, business development training, and mentorship programs. We also partner with local organizations and businesses to provide housing first then followed by job placement services and other resources to help women get out of poverty and achieve economic stability.
At GROW Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable home, and we are committed to making this a reality for marginalized women. By promoting leadership and business development, we believe that we can make a real difference in the lives of these women, helping them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Thank you for your support of our mission.
THE PROJECT 150
Project 150: In alignment with the sesquicentennial anniversary (150th) of the Canadian Confederation, Tracy Barry founder of GROW created Project 150 to honour and celebrate accomplished immigrant and first-generation women by sharing their stories.
The project captured the voices of accomplished immigrant women in Canada to both celebrate and document their contribution to Canada. Through the process of documenting and sharing their stories, the women participating in this project will experience a sense of empowerment and younger women listening to their stories will feel a greater sense of the possibilities in their own lives.

This project is a model of sustainable change that will be replicated globally in the future endeavours.
